THAICID Constitution
Name and Affiliation
Article 1. The Thai National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage is a governmental organization constituted as representative of Thailand to the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage. The abbreviated name shall be " THAICID "
Article 2. The Thai National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage shall be hereinafter called the " Committee " and the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage called " ICID ".
Article 3. The office of the Committee is located at the Royal Irrigation Department, Samsen Road, Dusit District, Bangkok 10300, Thailand.
Objectives
Article 4.The objectives of the Committee shall be defined as follows :
1. To act as the executing center for ICID activities in Thailand.
2. To act as the disseminating center for information and technical data of various ICID activities in Thailand.
3. To act as the coordinating center among related agencies in Thailand, various National Committees on Irrigation and Drainage of ICID and other International Organizations having areas of common interests.
4. To stimulate and promote research and development of technology on irrigation, drainage, floo control and other related activities in Thailand.
Activities
Article 5. The activities of the Committee are as follows :
(1.) To participate in technical meetings held by ICID and to coordinate with ICID administration to attain its objectives.
(2.) To organize technical meetings on planning to resolve problems and difficulties concerning irrigation, drainage, flood control and other related works in Thailand for consecutive and efficient execution.
(3.) To transfer new technologies on irrigation, drainage, flood control, river training and other related works obtained from other National Committees of ICID and International Organizations having common interests to various concerned agencies in Thailand for use as operational references.
Organization of the Committee
Article 6. The Committee shall compose of not less than 15 and not more than 25 members as follows :
(1.) Chairman 1
(2.) Vice-Chairman 2
(3.) Secretary-General 1
(4.) Deputy Secretary-General 1
(5.) Members from other agencies and organizations concerned 9 - 14
(6.) Expert Members 1 - 6
