Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center prepares for 2nd WIF and 67th IEC

CHIANG MAI, 6 September 2016 (NNT) – Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center is ready to welcome all visitors who attend the 2nd World Irrigation Forum (WIF) and the 67th International Executive Council Meeting (IEC) in Chiang Mai this November.

The Director Surat Thanusin said today that the center is a technical tour program for the 2nd World Irrigation Forum (WIF) and the 67th International Executive Council Meeting (IEC) which will take place between 6th-12th November this year at the Chiang Mai International Convention and Exhibition Center, Thailand.

Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center provides nine points of interest for its visitors: a Forestry research and development section, a Frog farming section, a Fisheries research and development section, a Mushroom farming section, Models from six Royal Development Study Centers, a Land development section, a Livestock studies and development section, an Intensive farming section and a New theory demonstration model based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.

The center was established on the initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, in order to conduct studies and research on various development matters such as forest development or water management. Moreover, foreign farmers can study the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy directly from Thai Smart farmers.

The technical tour at Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center will be held on 7th November this year and is open to all visitors who are interested in the subject.

13th International Drainage Workshop

The ICID International Drainage Workshop (IDW) is regularly held in different countries once in about every 3 years. We are now glad to inform you that this special event is planned to take place in Iran next March. It is our great pleasure to cordially invite you to attend this unique event in Ahwaz, Iran, 4-7 March, 2017. The workshop aims at introducing the challenges, needs and solutions facing the drainage community worldwide. The main theme of the workshop is "Drainage and Environmental Sustainability"
    Focusing on the following topics:
  • Measures to improve drainage water quality;
  • Measures to lower volume of drainage water;
  • Adaption of new design criteria in favor of the environment;
  • Application of alternative drainage methods.
  • Important Dates:
  • Submission of abstract: August 31, 2016 Extended toSeptember 30, 2016
  • Notification of abstract acceptance: September 10, 2016 Extended to October 10, 2016
  • Submission of full paper: December 1, 2016
